Humanistic Therapist

EN/DE

In order to reach one’s full potential for love, creativity, growth, and purpose, we need to take into account the whole person. I invite you to tap into your individual strengths, resources and values, and centre deep self-compassion at the heart of growth. These can be powerful signposts towards your goals, as well as tools for tackling life’s challenges meaningfully, and gently untangling any barriers in the way. I draw upon a variety of proven techniques from diverse approaches, centred around the client's needs, including cognitive, interpersonal, behavioural, mindfulness and more, to enable you to become healthy and confident in your own style.

Humanistic therapy

My approach is based around the idea that all humans have needs, such as the needs to feel safe, to feel connected, to have meaning and purpose. The ways in which we meet these needs make up part of our sense of self, and contribute to our mental health. I support clients to get in touch with their needs, enhance their resources, master new skills and create new possibilities for life and the future, staying true to their individual authentic selves.

Our body usually has ways of telling us when something is good or bad for us. I work intuitively to help you get in sync with yourself and listen to these signs compassionately so that you can handle any challenging circumstances that come your way authentically.

We will work together holistically to draw out the root of the issue and give you tools to soothe the immediate symptoms so you can navigate life's challenges and transitions confidently and meaningfully.

I work with a variety of areas including life transitions, trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, building confidence and self-esteem, anger, stress, and addiction.

Booking a session:

If you are interested, please feel free to send an email with a brief description of the areas you would like to work on together, and we can proceed with arranging a 10-minute introductory call to see if we would be a good fit.

Sessions last 60-75 minutes - this is typically longer than most psychotherapy sessions because it allows us to get to the source of the areas you’d like to cover, develop positive goals and rehearse these into areas of your life so you can leave feeling confident about integrating your goals into life now and in the future.

A counselling session of 60-75 min: 85 Euro

About me

I am a queer-friendly therapist using the pronouns she/her. There is a wealth of knowledge across the span of history, from the Stoics to Confucius, that continues to inform our understanding about the human condition and how to live meaningfully. I first started to explore some of this ancient wisdom whilst studying Sanskrit and ancient Indian philosophy for 3 years at Oxford University.

Whilst undertaking a MSc in Psychology and training as a Human Givens counsellor, I was able to incorporate some of these insights with modern developments in neurology and further counselling methods to provide a holistic treatment for the mind, body and soul.
