Trauma Informed Coach

As a trauma-informed coach, my approach is founded upon a deep acceptance of each individual's unique journey. I work with powerful tools designed to guide you towards a deeper state of self-awareness, enabling you to make sense of your own path and be more present and grounded in life.

In a world where many dwell on the past, resist the present and fear the uncertainty of the future, my goal is to empower you to work with, rather than against, the flow of life's offerings. I'm here to assist you in unlocking your potential, cultivating self-acceptance, and embracing transformation.

Through determination, acceptance, and unwavering curiosity, I am dedicated to helping you lead a more fulfilling life. Keep in mind that the journey towards healing and personal growth is ongoing. We are never entirely healed but always in the process of healing. .

Topics we can work with…

TRAUMA: Most of us walk around with some sort of trauma, often stemming from experiences in early childhood. Trauma isn’t solely a consequence of something that happened to us; it can also arise from unmet childhood needs. Additionally, ancestral trauma, passed down through generations, can deeply influence our lives. Trauma manifests in various forms, affecting us from childhood through adulthood. I'm here to guide you through this complex terrain and aid in the healing process.

SELF-LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE:
Most people lack self-love and it causes people to focus on their flaws instead of their strengths. Rather than build themselves up, they bring themselves down. Therapy can help you start to see your full potential, learn to not care what other people think of you, accept who you are and become the truest version of yourself.

AT A CROSSROADS:
At different points in our life we can reach a crossroads. It could be a break up, a divorce, leaving/ losing your job or death of a loved one. Moments like these can be stressful and make you feel lost, disconnected and stuck. It may feel like a dead-end. We can work through these situations together and navigate the challenge. And remember, moments like these are some of life’s biggest teachers.

LGBTQIA+ STRUGGLES: Studies show that LGBTQIA+ members are more likely to experience a mental health condition. This is because many people identifying as LGBTQIA+ face discrimination, family rejection, harassment, and fear of violence. Therapy can help them make space for their experiences, as well as combat internal and external struggles.

STRESS/ BURNOUT: Burnout is our bodies way of forcing us to slow down and make change, come back and look at our lives, re-evaluate our expectations and values. Together, we can relearn simple yet effective resources for managing our stress levels.

ADDICTION: Understanding the roots of addiction may help you find connections between your experiences and actions and be better equipped to overcome the problem.

SHADOW WORK: Shadow work helps people shed light on hidden experiences, feelings and emotions that were pushed away in earlier stages of life. By bringing them to the forefront and acknowledging them, one can make sense of behaviour and break through negative patterns.

EMBODIMENT PRACTISES: A lot of the time, our bodies and minds are disconnected. Through embodiment and other meditation practices, mindfulness, and acceptance, one can connect the two and practice self-care.

About me

Let me introduce myself – I'm Joshua Hyde, a Trauma-informed Coach based in Berlin. I specialise in providing support and guidance with a deep emphasis on trauma-informed techniques. But my journey into coaching is deeply rooted in my own transformative experiences.

My personal exploration started with the realisation that I was in constant battle with myself. This awareness prompted me to embark on a journey of self-love, self-discovery, and self-acceptance, facilitated by therapy and various healing tools. I transitioned from identifying as a victim of my past and my traumas to stepping back from my thoughts and charting a course towards healing.

I began viewing life's challenges as opportunities, experiences as invaluable lessons, and I opened myself up to new ideas, thoughts, and beliefs. Along the way, I discovered that I wasn't alone in my struggles – pain is a universal experience that binds us all. This realisation fuelled my desire to help others see that there is a path to healing and personal growth.
